It was smiles all around for this year’s Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign. This year, Tim Hortons restaurants raised a record breaking $15 MILLION for more than 625 charities across Canada. Locally, the Markdale Tim Hortons location raised $7,800 for equipment in the new Markdale Hospital!
“The goal was to raise enough funds for an adult stretcher” stated Yvonne and Paul MacGillivray, owners of the Markdale location. “By the end of Smile Cooke week, we realized enough funds were raised to buy TWO stretchers!” said the MacGillivray’s proudly. Also, the Markdale location over doubled their cookie sales from last year, ranking this location 2nd in year over year growth.
Harvey Fraser, Chair of the Foundation and the “Together in Care” campaign expressed extreme gratitude for this opportunity. “This is a collective effort from Tim Horton’s, the MacGillivray’s and our community. Thank you to everyone for making this year’s Smile Cookie campaign such a success!”
