Centre Grey Health Services Foundation met outdoors this week when they attended the Rotary Club of Markdale Gavel Exchange Ceremony. It was a great opportunity for the Rotarians to complete their pledge to the new hospital build. The Markdale Rotarians originally made their pledge back in 2004. They paid the final installment this week for a total of $300,000. “I am so proud of our Rotarians. $300,000 will go a long way. It’s an honour to have the Rotary as a partner in the new Markdale Hospital Project” stated Harvey Fraser, Centre Grey Health Services Foundation Chair and Campaign Chair.
Past President Patrick Petch advised “The Rotary Club of Markdale is extremely pleased to be able to fulfill our commitment to the building of our new hospital. We are especially proud of our community and grateful of our benefactors for helping us raise these funds. We are thankful to see tangible progress.”
