Fred and Glenora Alton’s dream of seeing a new hospital in their beloved village of Markdale is about to be realized. Their advocacy for this project and generous financial contributions are something well known within this community.
“We were keenly aware of the professional and compassionate care Glenora and Fred received from local health care. The proximity to a highly functioning emergency department and quality in patient support, always provided peace of mind to our family.” Stated siblings Robert, Glenn and Mary Anne Alton.
“Being a partner in the “Together in Care Campaign” and naming a patient room in honour of our parents and grandparents, provides our family with an opportunity to demonstrate our gratitude for the quality health care they received. It is our way of honouring our parents and grandparents and continuing their great example of supporting their community. It is only fitting that their name would appear in the new Markdale Hospital” said grandchild Jackie Burns.
“The Centre Grey Health Services Foundation is very honoured to be celebrating this naming opportunity with the Alton Family in honour of Glenora and Fred.” Said Harvey Fraser, Foundation and Campaign Chair.
The new hospital is just over 70% complete and is expected to be open and functional in late 2023 or early 2024. For more information, please visit www.togetherincare.com
